Galley Hot Wells Are Energy Efficient To Save You Money!
Galley Hot Wells Are Energy Efficient To Save You Money!
Only Galley manufactures energy efficient hot wells that heat from all four sides plus the bottom, allowing you to use a lower temperature to keep foods hot
165° and Hotter | Saves Energy
USES HALF THE ELECTRIC OF COMPETITORS
Maintain Foods Safely at 165°
No Preheating Required
Heat From All 4 Sides + Bottom
No Water To Fill
No Water To Drain
No Drains Required
Galley hot wells heat every surface of your food pan enveloping your food in hot air, much like an oven, maintaining an even temperature on all sides of the pan. This design heats food evenly with maximum efficiency. Compare this to our competitors who only heat food from the bottom surface of their hot well.
Other serving line manufacturers make hot wells that only heat from the bottom up. In their hot well you have to use a higher temperature to radiate heat through the bottom of the food to maintain a safe temperature at the top of the food. This cooks the food on the bottom, drying out meats and burning items that touch this extra hot surface.
Galley hot wells heat all 5 surfaces allowing you to use the minimum temperature necessary to keep foods hot, fresh and tasty. Not only does this result in food that can stay fresh longer, but it also lowers electric bills as our patented heating method cuts energy consumption in half!
This design saves $80 per year per hot well that is in use four hours per day where electricity costs 12 cents per kilowatt-hour. Over the lifetime of the hot wells, the energy savings exceed the equipment costs. Not only do you save on energy, you also save a lot more in labor thanks to a waterless design. This waterless design eliminates extra cleanup time spent draining the hot wells and removing burnt food stuck on pans.
SAVE ELECTRICITY - GALLEY CUTS ENERGY USE IN HALF & SAVES WATER Our patented hot well design uses ½ the amount of electricity to heat foods than that used by other serving line manufacturers.
This design achieves power efficiency by heating from all 4 sides plus the bottom
Galley's patented hot wells meet NSF Standard 04 for temperature performance using less energy than competitive designs
Only Galley manufactures energy savings hot wells
Only Galley’s hot wells heat from all four sides and the bottom and draw only 500 watts per well - half the power than competitors
This means lower electric bills and lower installation costs since no electrician is required to install it
Galley's hot wells are designed to be used dry (without water).
Galley patented heating methods cut energy consumption in half.
GALLEY HOT WELLS IMPROVE FOOD QUALITY Food Quality is improved by proper temperature maintenance and proper holding techniques. Using water defeats all the good efforts that you put in to cook your products. Water baths which continually heat and then cool the foods burns up your food. Using Galley’s dry hot well improves food quality.
SAVE INSTALLATION COSTS Galley uses less electric, thus installation cost of electric lines is less. Galley’s modules are also designed to be mobile and easily moved and relocated. This means that floor drains are not required.
SAVE LABOR Galley’s dry heat is superior to wet baths. Galley hot wells require less labor to monitor temperature and less labor to clean up because of no water. An hour a day in labor or more is saved. That’s $100.00 per week or $5,000 per year saved. Hot water has all these disadvantages.
Hot water can only heat to boiling 212 degrees. This takes time and costs money.
Once it gets to boil, water evaporates and the water level gets lower.
The bottom of the pan overheats the food.
The top does not get enough heat.
Someone must constantly watch the water level and add more water.
Then when they add water, the temperature goes down and you have to watch and stir.
EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION With Hot Air, we can heat to 500 degrees, just like an oven.
Moreover, the air stays hot.
The air heats the food from all four sides and bottom at a constant temperature.
The foods heat more evenly and hotter.
In addition, because of the high-efficiency design, these wells use one-half to two-thirds less energy than conventional wells.
REDUCE THE COST OF EQUIPMENT This design saves $80 per year per hot well in use four hours per day where electricity costs 12 cents per kilowatt-hour. Over the lifetime of the hot wells, the energy savings exceed the equipment costs. Not only do you save on energy, you also save a lot more in labor.
SAVE ON LABOR COSTS Galley hot wells require less labor to monitor temperature and less labor to clean up because of no water. An hour a day in labor or more is saved. That’s $100.00 per week.
SAVE WATER & REDUCE SEWAGE It’s time to go green and save money. Using dry hot wells, saves on water usage and sewage and waste treatment charges.
LONGER WARRANTY Moreover, these wells work flawlessly. Thousands have been in use for over 25 years.
DRAINS AND MANIFOLD Yes we can put drains into the 4” deep pan and this works fine. This is an option. However, we still recommend that the unit be run without water. The drain is used for clean out only.
OPTIONAL 6” PAN ADAPTER It’s important to recognize that Galley’s hot well is 4” deep and has an optional pan adapter part #8750 that allows for the use of a 6” deep pan.
MEET CURRENT HEALTH CODES At Galley, our hot wells are manufactured in accordance with National Sanitation Foundation Standard 4 (NSF STD 04) which simply states that the foods are to be held at no less than 165 degrees. Hot foods taste better and are healthier.
OMIT THE COST OF FLOOR DRAINS Galley’s modules are designed to be mobile and easily moved and relocated. This means that floor drains are not required if you run the hot wells dry.
